Suggestions for a Slow and Lagging Game

Hi everyone,

So before my game was slow and lagging, until I downloaded the gaming software, Raptr, which did help a lot. However, now that Raptr is "dead" (wont let anyone login) I have nothing to help my game run smoothly. Little hacks like clearing caches and lowering game play settings does not work for me. Could I please get some suggestions as to what helps your games run smoother/faster? Preferably, along the lines of gaming software?

Have you tried updating your graphics drivers and turning off Origin in-game?

Turn off Origin In-Game:
Open Origin, Select Origin > Application Settings > Origin In Game tab and click the on/off switch to disable Origin In Game. - This deactivates Origin In-Game, as it has been known to cause problems with games.

Restart the computer, to help the computer refresh itself, and try the the game again.

Well, I crossed my fingers and it was unsuccessful.

Now my game is being super weird. I tried to play but when it was done loading the household I ended up right back at the "worlds" menu. I updated the game and repaired it, even restarted my computer. Maybe I did this wrong but this has never happened before.
