Stuck on main loading screen

I'm stuck on the main loading screen of TS3. The loading bar is complete but I can't get on to the select game menu. The intro music is still playing. I've tried quitting and restarting a few times but it doesn't go past the intro/main loading screen (the one with the TS3 theme song). Please help. Thank you.

@escapedpolarbear  Please restart your computer, and don't open anything other than TS3.  Delete your cache files too.  If that doesn't help, move your entire Sims 3 game folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, then launch the game and see how far you get.  Let me know if this works.
