Stuck on “Verifying update…”

I’m trying to download The Sims 4 on my PC. The download took a couple hours, but now it’s at 100%. It says “Verifying update… Any moment now…” but has been this way for 2 hours. I’ve restarted my computer, cleared cache and launched the app as an administrator. I also turned off my antivirus. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

@lenseta  Please clear Origin's cache and then repair the game: open your Origin library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.  If you have Origin set to auto-update your games, disable this feature first; it's under Application settings > Application > Client update.  Please also run Origin as an admin while repairing and trying to update.

If that doesn't help, remove the Sims 4 folder from Documents > Electronic Arts and try again.  Normally this isn't necessary, but it does occasionally help.
