Son lost his family tree

Hi, I am trying to play 10 generations. It went fine for 4 generations. 
Generation 5 has a reset family tree, so they see themselves as 2nd generation while they should be 5th. 

I hope this makes sense. Also see pics.

I dont have any mods or cheats, and wondering how I can fix this?

Do you have any Mods or CC installed. If so try removing them.
