Some special characters show up as a box

I'm guessing it's probably a font issue, but ă (a with a breve) is showing up as a little box when I name my sim Mălina. The only thing is, I'm not sure why the breve would be missing from the font entirely.

Is there a way to fix this? Ex: Can I somehow manually add it to the font myself?

I've had no issues with accents and umlauts in the past, and I know the ă can show up on my computer the rest of the time. 

I do have mods installed, I'll check if that could be the issue when I can, but I don't know what CC would do that. 

Are there any other special characters that are known to have this issue?

@Patowan01 No. As you suspected, the box means the visible character for the font they use doesn't exist. They would need to update the font to show that character.

Personally, I don't know any way to fix that or if the font can even be changed by mods. EA could do it. You might want to put in a bug report.
