Some expansion packs not showing up in game

I just bought Get Famous and Discover Uiversity but they are not showing up in my game. And on origin, when I try to click play it just has the details button, but with the other game packs I bought, it has the play button.

@brookeaadams  Try launching your game a couple of times—occasionally that's all it takes to get the packs to show up.

If that's not the issue, please repair the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.  If that doesn't work, clear Origin's cache:

restart your computer, and repair again.

By the way, Discover University won't run in the Legacy Edition of Sims 4.  Get Famous will though.

@brookeaadams  While Origin will still patch your Sims 4 install, the Legacy Edition-related files don't change.  The LE is essentially frozen at patch 1.56, the patch level immediately prior to the one that came out with Discover University and made the DU content work with the base game.  So without that update, DU content isn't compatible.  The same is true for Tiny Living and will be true for all future packs.

@brookeaadams  Do you mean update the game?  No, the Legacy Edition can't be updated, so if your computer can't run the standard version, you're stuck with the LE.

So if i have legacy and i bought Discovery University, i just wasted my money? That sucks.

@brookeaadams  If your computer can't run the standard version of Sims 4, then no, you can't play with Discover University.  You can ask for a refund though.  EA customer support often grants one when someone's computer is stuck with the LE.
