Sims3launcher & windows xp

I've been playing sims for a long time now, but a few days ago I turned off my computer. The next day when I wanted to play it said "Sims3Launcher.exe - Program fail
The game can't be installed right (0x0000006)"
something like that. And I have no idea what to do! Can it be because it's windows xp?
