Hey,
I wanna ask you for some help because I dont know what to do anymore! Since last saturday my game didnt launch. Origin keep saying I was in game but it never launched. I took out all of my mods and CC and it was still the same. I repaired the game and nothing. Reinstalled Origin and still nothing. So I didnt know what to do anymore so I put my PC back to factory settings and started with a clean sheet. So I thought, I reinstalled everything and still nothing. I updated my videocard and drivers, tried everything I could find on google but I just cant get it to work.
I downloaded Zombies VS Plants through Origin to see if that works and it does in seconds.. So it must be TS.
My pc, who was working perfectly fine before saturday, had 15 gb mods and it still was fast and not laggy, is a i5-2200 cpu @2.80GHz. 8 GB ram memory and a 64 bits processor and system. I have Windows 10 pro. I also have a videocard from NVIDIA, the geforce GT 1030.
I used driver easy to update all the drivers
Really appriciate if some one have some tips about how I can get it to work again.
Solved! Go to Solution.

@AapNootMiesje I apologize for the late reply; I just missed your newest post until today when I went looking for something else. Anyway, there are two relatively simple steps you can try here, in either order. One is to install the EA App and use that instead. It's not as polished as Origin yet but does usually work with Sims 4.

The other is to do another clean uninstall of Origin and install it into a new folder, one that you create specifically for that purpose. For example, you could create a folder called Game Stuff on C and put Origin there. The point is to use a folder that's new and not nestled within an already-existing one.

Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.

Thanks for your reply I no longer have any mods in my folders, I have set my PC back to factory settings and reinstalled everything so started with clean folders.

@AapNootMiesje Please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

Please also let me know what antivirus you use, if any.

@AapNootMiesje Your dxdiag lists a number of Origin errors, so the place to start is with clearing Origin's cache and uninstalling it "the hard way":

Reinstall Origin using the full installer (direct download link):
http://download.dm.origin.com/origin/live/OriginSetup.exe
Run the installer as an admin: right-click on the download and select "Run as administrator." Restart your computer after installing and before trying to play, and when you do, run Origin itself as an admin too.

@AapNootMiesje Please post a new dxdiag so I can see the state of your computer (and any new errors) as of now.
