Sims won't complete tasks

I recently started having an issue with my game (I have Dine Out, Go to Work, City Living and Get Together installed as well). My sims will begin a task (no specific task) and stop in the middle to go do something else. The "something else" is not an urgent need - in fact, it often is something that doesn't respond to a need at all. For example, my sim was cooking and was in desperate need of food. The sims stops cooking and goes to take a shower even though hygiene is full. Another sim was working out and stopped even though needs were very green, to go play basketball. This is not isolated to one lot or family. I originally suspected a mod or CC issue but turned off the CC and the problem persists. Thoughts?

Do they come up with the second task themselves or is it something in queue?

Its something they are coming up with themselves.

Could you try taking out your entire mods folder and seeing how that goes?

I tried removing the mods folder to see if that would change anything. Same result. My sims have the attention span of a gold fish :P Frustrating lol.

Try right clicking the game in Origin, and choose 'repair game'.

I did the repair game thing as well. The basketball hoop seemed to be the biggest problem...my one sim kept quitting everything to go play. I deleted it and that has helped. Some of the others are still having trouble staying on task but its not as annoying.

What is the settings for free will set at? Maybe its a little high?

Could you see if a new save file also has the issue?
