Sims expansion bundle issue

I am having issues installing sims 3 expansion bundle getting error message. This product requires install copy of sims 3 please install sims 3 before installing this product  what can I do ?

@Player_cqptdmbu It might sound too obvious, but do you have The Sims 3 base game installed?

@Player_cqptdmbu  Have you installed the base game through Origin, disc, or Steam?  And how are you trying to install the packs?
