Sims can’t share bed

Sims unable to share bed. They can only use one side of the bed. When one goes asleep in left side and I command the other one to sleep On right side they ignore me and go to the side sim is sleeping in and wave arms like there’s an obstacle. Anyone seen this?

If one side of a doublebed is blocked they need to slide over. That is not possible when one is sleeping on the free side.
