Sims can’t give gifts to each other

Ever since I bought seasons for sims 4 my sims can’t give gifts to each other. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Do you have any CC or mods that might be blocking the interaction?

i dont think so, and I don't know how to check anyway.

Did you download any CC or mods? If so try moving out the mods folder.

Could you try letting the game make a new game folder?
- Go to Documents\Electronic Arts\
- Rename the 'The Sims 4' folder to something like 'The Sims 4 old' 
- Start the game, this will create a new folder.
- Test the game, if it works fine start moving folders from 'The Sims 4 old' over to the new folder.
