My Sims 4 game will not launch, I've talked to 4 different people at EA help and nothing has worked I've cleared cache, uninstalled and reinstalled Sims 4 and I've done the same to origin I've repaired the game files what else can I do? the people at EA help said it could be a bug within origin so if so I would like to see it fixed I've spent to much money on this game for it not to launch.

I also have not been able to launch or play Sims 4 in the last 3-5 days. EA Help told me I had to "just wait" until they fix the issue and to monitor their twitter account for updates to the issue.

@zeusknapp and @torimarie95 Please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

Please also let me know what antivirus you run.

@puzzlezaddict I did now what do I do?

@zeusknapp You didn't mention your antivirus, but from your dxdiag, it looks like you have or at one point had Sophos installed. Sophos blocks Sims 4 by default; you'd need to change these settings:

@puzzlezaddict how do I do that? I'm kinda confused by the directions in the link you added in your last message

@zeusknapp I don't use Sophos, so I can't give you precise instructions. But it sounds like there's an Advanced Protection category where you can fiddle with the settings.
On the other hand, just changing these settings is likely enough:
