I have tried everything like clearing my cache for the Origin, but my sims won't update. It had stayed in the same percentage for hours, and whenever I click to resume update. It would load for 15 minutes then the Origin would shut down. What can I do? I have been dealing with this situation for hours. Please send help!

@JennaStaAna2005 Have you restarted your computer yet? If not, do so now. You can also try repairing before updating: right-click on the Sims 4 icon in your game library and select Repair.
If that doesn't help, clear Origin's cache again, then uninstall it "the hard way." Restart your computer when you're done.

Download the full installer, not the usual ThinSetup, and run it as an admin: right-click on the download and select "Run as administrator."

When Origin is installed, run it as an admin too. Then try to update your game. If it doesn't work, clear Origin's cache again, restart your computer, then repair the game, then try the update.

I open Origin, and it asks whether I would like to update The Sims 4, so I click update, and Origin crashes

@LRR32793 Please clear Origin's cache:

restart your computer, and try to update again. If Origin still crashes, clear its cache again, but this time, don't update, just repair Sims 4. If the repair works, you can update afterwards, that is if Origin doesn't start downloading the patch on its own.
