So, my sims 4 game was perfectly fine two weeks ago. I opened my game up today per usual and something was off, whenever I tried to load or create a new family the game simply wouldn’t load. When I try to create a new family the screen goes white and then fades to black, it won’t allow me to click on the options menu or gallery. When I try to load a previously saved game it stays on the screen with the green cursor, I waited two hours and it still didn’t load. I did my research and moved my CC out of mods and into a backup file on my desktop, but my game still won’t load. I’m getting quite frustrated because I cannot close the game without accessing the options menu in game. The game will not allow me to access anything, so I have to pull up task manager to close it every time. Does anyone have a solution for this or know what’s going on?

@mjschoenfeld Try repairing the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair. If that doesn't work, clear Origin's cache, restart your computer, and repair again.

If that doesn't help, please move your entire Sims 4 user data folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. Don't add anything to this folder yet; just see if you can get far enough to start a new save and play for a bit. If you can, save, quit, restart your computer, reload the game, and try to load your save again, just to make sure it still works.
If none of this makes a difference, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
