My sims 4 game won't launch on my laptop, when I press play, origin closes for a moment and it seems to think about it, before origin pops up again without seeming to have done anything. I have tried redownloading the game numerous times, and have even installed origin onto 2 different computer's (both PC's) and the same thing seems to happen. I have no CC or mods, but have bough numerous different packs. Is there anything I can try to get my game working?

I managed to contact my Sophos provider and he was able to get it to work by creating a policy for my computer where it doesn't check for application exploits, and now the game seems to be running again. Thank you for all your help

@TakeheshiYumano Please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

Please also let me know what antivirus program you use.

@TakeheshiYumano Please try changing these two settings for Sophos:

If that doesn't help, please run a couple of basic checks on your Windows system files. Here's how:
When you're done, please run a new dxdiag and attach it to a post. This one is missing a bit of information, because it crashed, and if you still can't play, I'd like to see that missing info.

@Shawn221 Did you install Sims 4 through Origin or Steam, and what antivirus program do you use?
