Sims 4 will not launch

Have just purchased Sims 4 and when I got to start to launch the game it says that it is open but there is no screen that appears even though it says the game is running. 

I have attempted to repair the game through the the origin app which did not fix the problem.

I am unsure of what to do next.

@shaggyfallon Did the computer come with Win 10 or did you upgrade to Win 10?
