Sims 4 update

My sims has been deleted randomly about 4 times now and recently it told me the files were damaged or something and to reinstall it so i did. It has finally reinstalled except now it says the game needs to be updated in order to play it, so i click update and it says its complete but then the game still wont play because it needs to update.

@supercoolwarlock  I've moved your post to the Sims 4 technical issues section, which is the best place for troubleshooting TS4 issues.  I'm sure someone will respond soon, but in the meantime, please run a dxdiag and attach the results to a post here.
