Sims 4 taking forever to finalize after repair

★★★★ Novice

So, after having some problems with my game yesterday, I’m having a bit more trouble. I had to repair my game due to some issues I had with it yesterday, so I started the repair this morning and then the finalizing part came...it’s been finalizing for the last few hours now, usually, for me, it takes 20-30 minutes to finalize. I’ve restarted my laptop twice, so I don’t know what else to do. If you have any information, thank you!

Probably the game files are so broken that the standard repair cannot fix them.
The only solution is to uninstall the entire game in Origin and reinstall it.
First, however, move the entire TS4 folder from the Documents to the desktop.
When you start the game after installing, a new virgin game folder will be created. Then copy the following folders from the desktop: saves and Tray and paste them into a new game folder.
Check if your game is working properly now.
However, if you have any mods don't paste whole mods folder.
Copy and paste your mods and CC from old mods folder to the new one. First copy the scripts mods every time checking if the game is working properly. If you have a lot of CC try 50/50 method ( divide your CC into smaller batches for example 50 pieces in one subfolder and check these subfolders one by one)
