Sims 4 saying it's already running but won't launch.

I just recently restored my computer and redownloaded The Sims 4. Everytime I try to launch the game I get a box popup that says sims 4 is already running but the game never actually launches. I've tried repairing the game files, uninstalling and reinstalling it and turning off my firewall and windows defender but nothing seems to work.

Restart your computer and see if it then works.
