Sims 4 running terrible even with better specs

I recently built a computer with:

cpu ryzen5 1600

gpu Nvida gtx 1650 super

32 gb of ram

1 terabyte ssd

an asrock motherboard 

this was made so my sister and I can play games but when she boots up sims it runs terribly, 1-3.65 FPS, but when I run any other game like Minecraft or warzone it works at over 250 FPS

@jarofbutter  Please try playing Sims 4 while your computer is not connected to the internet.  You can sign into Origin and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or unplug the ethernet cable.  There's a common issue with extremely low fps while connected to the internet, and it's worth finding out if this is your issue too or it's something else.
