Sims 4 restart?

So I've been having a problem. When i get on the sims it still has all of my households, but i keep getting the tutorials. I've also noticed that I keep getting the popup to place the restaurant from dine out and the spa from Spa Day even though i already have placed those lots, and all of the objects and clothing are golden like i haven't used them even though I have. It was like my game did a restart, even the settings were set to how they were originally. I'm very confused and would love to know how to fix this, thanks!

Did you change anything in the files in documents? Do you have this issue every time you start the game? Are your old saves still there?

I have all of my saves, and I got back onto the sims and the popups were gone and the settings were back to how i had changed them. However, the "restart glitch" happened about 3 times before it finally stopped.
