Sims 4 not opening

★★★ Newbie

Yesterday, my sims was working fine and I was able to play. Today, when I tried to go on the game, it won't load. I click the icon and nothing happens, I even try to click origin and again, nothing will even load - not even an error message or black screen. People are suggesting to uninstall and reinstall origin, but that doesn't seem to actually do anything for a lot of people. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions?

@Treelo12 Try restarting your computer. I had that issue every now and then on my old laptop and usually the issue would resolve itself after restarting.

The most common reason is some broken mod or CC which until now had somehow worked but now it has gone completely wrong.
Move your mods folder to the desktop, delete localthumbcache.package file (the game will recreate it but without saved errors) and try without it.

Of course, you can reinstall Origin but I don't think Origin is caused it.
But if you would like to try it :
Uninstall Origin by using Revo (free version)
https://www.revouninstaller.com/revo-uninstaller-free-download/
and install again
http://origin.com/download

However, this may be due to a problem with your computer. If nothing will work could you post your Computer's DxDiag?
