Sims 4 not launching

This was an issue in the beginning but then it was solved for most.

Do you see any ActivationUI.exe process that starts and hangs or closes too ?

The program starts running when I click play but closes almost immediately.

I also noticed that whenever I click play, Origin thinks that I actually played the game and registers "Last played -" and the last time I clicked the button.

Is it programmed to be like that?

If all fails, could you do an Origin Error Report and put your ID here

Oh wow! The link actually helped!mileyvery-happy:

I tried renaming the The Sims 4 folder into The Sims 4_Backup, and the game started immediately! Yaaaaaaay :D

I will now try to put my saves back into the folder.

If you're happy and all works as you know, I would accept YOUR post as solution where you said which of the suggestions actually worked. It's all about making it easier for the next person to find the solution.
