I have the same problem, and i have tried to copy al the files but I won’t work. And all the save files are grey... the people on EA tried to help me but it won’t work.. how do I do now??? Really want everything back cuz I’ve had it since 2017, and I’m going to a lan soon so I want it to work. Any tip?

If this doesn't work, have these saves been opened in the standard version of Sims 4 since the Legacy Edition patch was released? If so, then they won't open in the LE.

Hi so I just did this and I ha e a Mac but now it just keeps crashing. Any idea on how to fix that?!

@Cheyluvssims The Legacy Edition works a bit differently in macOS than in Windows. So it would be best if you started your own thread in the Mac section describing what you did, when the game crashes, and whether you have any mods or custom content.

@floorbleach Are you trying to open saves that have previously been played in the standard version of Sims 4? They won't run in the Legacy Edition because they've been exposed to new content that isn't present in the LE.
If this is the case however, you may not need to run the LE at all. Please let me know why you've switched to the LE, and please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
