Sims 4 keeps lagging when charger is plugged in

Please help I’ve tried literally everything with all that processor management bs bla bla bla, this quarantine isolation thing is driving me mad and it really doesn’t help that I can’t play sims 4 when my charger is plugged in. As soon as I pull the charger out it completely stops lagging and starts working perfect but as long as the charger is in it is extremely slow and laggy.
