Sims 4 installed via discs but saying its a trial - Help Confused?

Hi

CONFUSED - Can anybody help, I purchased the Sims 4 (2discs) for my daughter last Christmas 2016.

As she was playing Sims 3 on my computer she has only now been interested in playing Sims4, I have installed it via the discs, however its saying its a Trial,  we had to enter the product key, it was only valid for 2 days, she has  now played thought it and its ended and now saying you have to purchase the game to play, but I have already bought it at £40, so do not understand why firstly its stating its a trial and I have to buy it again - any help or info much appreciated please.
