Sims 4 folder

i bought the disk version of sims four and while i did have my fair share of trouble installing the game i got it to work. after a good hour or two of searching for my sims four folder because i wasn't paying attention to were i wanted it placed when it asked me i found it. the problem is the folder looks nothing like my sims 3 folder. there is alot of zip files and other files that i am to scared to touch. what do i do because i want to install mods but is this the right folder?

It sounds like mods may have been placed in the wrong folder. You might try a Sims 4 factory reset to see if that might help the game work correctly.
