Sims 4 crashing and deleting sims

The past few days, I have been playing my sims game mod-free without any problem. One day I noticed that some of my sims in my families were disappearing without a trace. When I exited and relaunched the game, they would reappear sometimes, but as of yesterday, they have disappeared completely. Now when I try to open the game, it would show the EA and Maxis symbols and then the title screen before it crashes. I have gone into origin and selected "repair game" maybe six times in a row and nothing happened. I am attempting to reinstall the game right now to see if that will help anything.
