Sims 4 crashing after installing cats & dogs

I downloaded cats & dogs from origin last night. Ever since then my game crashes at random points. Sometimes it happens as soon as I go to start up the game, and sometimes I can get a few minutes of play time in. My computer meets all the minimum requirements and I just updated my graphics card driver today. I have tried to repair my game via origin, and I do not have any mods or cc installed. Please help.
