Sims 4 crashed and will not open with any save files or cc/mods

my sims 4 crashed while i was playing and wouldn't open any time after. I tried opening it through origin and then through the shortcut but it wouldn't open or it would grey out the play button, load for about 5 seconds and then re open origin. I looked it up online and they said to move the sims 4 folder from my documents onto my desktop, so i did and it worked my game would open. But none of my save files, custom content or mods would load. So now whenever i open my game i have no saves, cc or mods. I don't know what happened and I've tried downloading more cc to see if it would trigger it to process the cc/mods but it didn't do anything. I tried moving my folder back into documents and my game went back to not opening. The game would create another Sims 4 folder in documents so i tried to merge the two folders and it would still not open. I don't know what to do or how to fix this, and I really don't want to have to recreate all my families, houses and townies. So any help anyone has that could fix this problem would be greatly appreciated as I have no desire to play the game if it is not fixed.

if the game opens without the user folder, then something in there is preventing the game from loading.

Try putting back folder after folder instead of all in one go.

Likely culprit is your mods/CC folder. Mods and cc get outdated with mods and need updating. So try putting back only your mods folder and see if it runs. If it doesn't you'll need to weed through your cc (in groups) to find out which one is preventing the game from loading.
