Sims 4 - aspiration tasks missing and sims off lot

My sims aspiration tasks have disappeared.. they sometimes show up briefly again if I complete one of them. BUT also, all of my sims are showing up as not on lot every time I load a family. If I play around with moving people in and out of the family they show up at home again. I have NO custom content or mods. I've seen a few other people having the same problem saying it happened after they installed Strangerville. Strangerville worked perfectly for me and this started after the April update. I really do not want to upload all of my families and start a new save... so how else can I fix this.
