I have been having ALOT of problems with Origin and Sims 4. So to start off with, when trying to open sims and play it pops up with a message "Origin was declined access to the following file or folder, this may be due to security or restrictions". I uninstalled the Sims completely to see if that would help, when installed sims again it finishes then pops up with a message to say "The code execution can not proceed because VCRUNTIME140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem. Which I have tried again but no luck!
With not many options I uninstalled Origin however, trying to download it again is not going onto my laptop, it finishes the loading bar then just completely vanishes off the laptop.
I am stuck. I just want to play the Sims

@sweeney124114 Please use Revo Uninstaller to completely remove Origin from your computer:
Before reinstalling Origin, uninstall your current copies of the 2015 VC++ runtimes. Hit Windows key-i, select Apps, and scroll down to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables. Click on the 2015 (or 2017, or 2015-2019) runtimes, both x64 and x86, and uninstall them. (Don't touch the copies from other years.) Then download and install new copies of the 2015-2019 runtimes from Microsoft:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
You need both the x86 and x64 versions, but you can skip the _arm version.
Restart your computer, download the full Origin installer and run it. Here's the direct download link:
http://download.dm.origin.com/origin/live/OriginSetup.exe
Be sure to run both the installer and Origin itself as an admin: right-click on each and select "Run as Administrator." Then try to download and run Sims 4. If you still get an error, please let me know when, and attach a screenshot of the error message.
Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
