I bought the Deluxe Edition, installed both disks per directions. But when I open up Origin folder and look at Installed Games in the Library, Sims 4 in not listed. When I go to All Games, Sims 4 is listed, but the only option I get is INSTALL which I've clicked about a million times now and it still is NOT installed. I've been trying to install this game for over 6 hours now. I'm so angry I could spit fire. I think I've just wasted $80 bucks.
I checked System Requirements and my PC passed. I tried to connect with Origins and it said that I need the the Sims 2, WHAT, the Sims 2? So I obliged and reinstalled the Sims 2, but still no luck. Gee, are there any patches out yet?????

I found a post and this fixed my problem. http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/Sims-4-won-t-install/m-p/3430723#U3430723
Thank you to the person who posted it.
Here is the fix:
Try the following:
Click on your window button. In the search tab type regedit. This should prompt your for a UAC - click yes to authorize it. The Registry editor will load.
Now look for [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Maxis\The Sims 4
If its not there you should create the key there. Once created you will need to create the following string values:
“GDFBinary”=”C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\__Installer\GDFBinary_en_US.dll”
“DisplayName”=”The Sims™ 4"
“Locale”=”en_US”
“Install Dir”=”C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\”
If this work, make sure to give credit to the user who came up with this fix in the SimCity section:
