Sims 4 - Try for baby won't work

No matter what, whether i remove all my mods, put the bed in the middle of an empty room, have both sims Very Flirty, they will not Try for Baby.
It's selectable. I can click it. It goes in the queue, then when it arrives they pause for a moment, do the Agreed to Woohoo thing, freeze, and a Heart+ appears, like they'd done the action, but they just stood there. Woohoo works fine, but pregnancy tests don't work either. It's been happening for a while. I can't remember when, but it was before the pools patch.They are both set so one can impregnate the other! I've checked everything i can, but i don't know what else i can do. I've reset my folder, i've uninstalled the game and reinstalled, i've even repaired the game files and i can't find an answer. 

(I looked through the game directory for posting this and couldn't find Sims 4, so i don't know)

My issue is resolved! I deleted my cache and all my save files, save backups and such and started with a basegame no cc family with no mods and it finally fixed!

When you say you've reset the folder, which exact folder do you mean?

Have you tried a completely clean, new game (moved out your Sims 4 folder from Documents > Electronic Arts) with a new couple and tried for a baby?

The Sims 4 folder itself was reset in that exact way, and i have tried it with various couples, various saves etc

Ok. Did you put your old saves back into the new folder that was created? Or did you start a completely new, clean game with a new couple and nothing copied over from your old folder?

I started over completely, and when that didn't work. i tried it with the old saves too

And you're not using any Mods in your game? Are you on a Mac or PC?

Ive tested with mods, removed all my mods, ive tried with some mods, with cheats, without cheats, nothing's worked. I'm playing on PC. I think my post was just moved to the mac area because i posted it in the wrong place

You said you change the who can get pregnant settings ?

Did you also try with two unchanged Sims ?

I've done this with a non-changed family and when that didnt worked, i tried swapping the genders
