Sims 4 - Save file has grey llama icon on households

So in the sims world that I play on I have a ton of households. I launched the game earlier and when I opened the app all of the households that my sims lived on or I had made were replaced with a grey llama thing. I can still see all the households in manage households but i cant access the plot themselves. It only effects the one save file too all my other save files work fine it's just the one. Is there a fix to this I haven't backed up that save in a long time and a lot has happened.

this is happening to me currently 
I’ve tried taking out my mods folder & saves and also repairing Thee game and starting with a new sims 4 folder. I have a MacBook btw.
