Sims 4: My Sim Won't Do Any Actions

[ Edited ]

My sim won't do the action I have told it to do. None of the actions will work. If I cancel the action and try again still won't do it. Sometimes my sim will walk up to e.g. the bed and then not perform the action of e.g going to sleep. Time will still pass during this so hours are wasted. My sim missed her class at university and is running out of time to go to bed before work lol.

I have tried shift-clicking 'reset object', doesn't fix.

I tried exiting the game and coming back in. It works for a little bit and then the same issue happens again. I can't spot a theme of it happening after using any particular objects.

I have no mods and no CC in my game, never have. My game is also up to date.

Please help! Thanks in advance!

1. If you are using any mods and CC, move the mods folder to your desktop and try without them.
2. Go to the Family Management panel and transfer this sim to another family and check that you have regained control of him. If you can now control this sim, bring him back to the previous family.

Go to Documents/ElectronicArts - inside will be The Sims4 folder
Step 1. Move The Sims4 folder to the desktop
Step 2. Fix the game in Origin
Origin/ My games library - right-click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
You have to wait until Origin will fix all packs, not only the base game.
Step 3. Turn on the game - a new game folder will be created and you will have two - one old on the desktop and one new
Step 4. Check if you still have this problem in the newly created game folder. Start a new game with random sims and play by 5 minutes.
If the problem disappeared
Step 5. Delete in the new game folder following folders:
"saves" and Tray.
Step 6. Go to "The Sims 4" old folder and copy - your "saves " folder.
Step. 7. Paste this folder in a newly created game folder.
Step 8. Do the same with Tray folder and TrayDeleteItems file
Step. 9. Launch the game and check if this problem disappeared.
The last step - delete The Sims4 folder from the desktop
Your saves and library will be not changed or damaged

Your saved game will stay safe. Don't worry.
What caused it... If it isn't a computer to blame probably some files in the game folder are damaged

I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game, just moving across my saves file and the same issue is still present.

I went into a random townie house and everything there seems to be just fine it's just my sims family that isn't working.

Any ideas?

@kreatora It’s just a single sim I have this problem with.
