Sims 4 Minimizing

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cats & Dogs, Seasons, Get to Work, Journey to Baatu
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Launch Sims 4
What happens when the bug occurs? The game minimizes and will not open, have to right click the icon and click "close window" to exit the game.
What do you expect to see? Game will not open, stays minimized.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. The day after installing the 12/7/2020 patch. A little glitchy but worked the day the patch was installed (12/8/2020), but now is not working (12/9/2020).

Game will not stay open even after several attempts, just minimizes every time I try to open it.

@tealex1  Try disabling Origin in-game: hover over your username, select Application Settings, then the Origin in-game header, and disable the option at the top.

If that doesn't help, please repair the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.
