Hey!
I am looking for a bank balance friendly laptop to just to play sims 4 mainly.
Sadly my current older laptop doesn’t meet the minimum requirements.
I don’t quite understand the technical jargon for the requirements and most threads I have found are with outdated links to good laptops.
Any help would be appreciated!

@justserenajayne For £500, the best new laptops I could find are these three:
https://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=1E6Z9EA&opt=ABU&sel=NTB
They have the same processor and integrated graphics chip, one that should be able to run Sims 4, all packs included, on medium or medium-high settings. A laptop with an i5-1135G7 processor would be about the same, and ab i7-1165G7 or Ryzen 7 4700U would be a bit faster, but I didn't see any for under £520. Laptops with entry-level dedicated graphics cards tend to be a bit more expensive, starting anywhere from £550 to £700 depending on current inventory and sales.
As far as used options go, the ones from reputable stores aren't much cheaper—you might save £50-75 off the price of a new model, but inventory is spotty enough that it's difficult to find anything suitable. (I didn't see anything worth mentioning on any of the sites I checked.) Prices are lower on Ebay, but it sounds like you're not interested in that kind of risk.
If you have more questions, or those laptops aren't quite what you had in mind, please feel free to keep asking.

@justserenajayne Please list your budget and country, as well as any other details that matter to you. "Bank balance friendly" means different things to different people.

Hey! Sorry I am in the UK and I’m looking for around £500.
I only want to play sims 4 on it so I don’t want to spend too much.
Happy to get used/renewed if it’s from a trustworthy place/got guarantee.
