Sims 4: Island Living - beach towels not showing and very glitchy

I’ve downloaded the Sims 4: Island Living and having LOADS of issues! 

1) The beach towels aren’t showing AT ALL. Can find them on build mode but when I go to place them down, they’re invisible. Sims just look like they’re lying on the ground.

2) Suntan doesn’t work. Whether that’s to do with the above but when I get the sim to sunbathe, they just lay there and burn. I have bought the sunblock on build mode but you can’t even click on it to use it??? 

3) Snorkling. When I get my sims to snorkel, they just run around in circles around the buoy.

4) My sims don’t seem to swim when I get them to go back to land whilst they are swimming in the ocean. They just run across water!!! 

Bit annoying for game play. Does anyone have any solutions?!

2. Can you click on the Sim to apply it ?

3. Sounds like a cc issue. Do you have any mods/cc in your game ?

Thanks Crin! I do have mods on. I’ll try turning them off and then see what happens

@latricenl Did you restart the game after changing the settings or is this about something else than the towels ?

It's the towels and I thought I was using the thread. I restarted the game,  but not my PC. Will try it again and do that. Thx.
