Sims 4: I have two mailboxes and a unicorn that I can't remove [ Edited ]

Hi there,

It would be hugely appreciative if someone could help me with this bug/issue

I was mucking around with the "testingcheats" cheat and accidentally clicked

on something (on the mailbox) that made the mailbox become my sims' head.

I have to admit that I found it quite funny at first.... until I couldn't get it off

I restarted my game, and it was off my sims' head but had somehow turned

itself into a second, fully functional mailbox on my home lot. This would normally

not bother me too much but it is also preventing my from sharing my house to

the gallery/mylibrary (says it has been shared but can't be found on the gallery

or my library.) So I tried what usually fixes my problems which is to "repair game"

on Origin. Which did something...... it didn't remove the second mailbox but

instead added a unicorn stuffed animal outside my property which makes it

non-deletable >

So right now I have two mailboxes and a spare, permanent unicorn sitting

on my street staring everybody up as they walk past.

Does anybody else have the same issue and/or a solution? As I said at the

start it would be much appreciated.

I have contacted EA with no luck but was assured that if I posted here I

would get a reply. So I took their word for it and here I am

Here's your reply (although you probably won't like it):

Others have this issue with the mail box and I have not found anyone who knows how to delete the extra mail box (this is also a problem if you turn an residental lot into a commercial one. The mail box also gets stuck)

As for the unicorn, the game MIGHT clean that up by itself. It does clean up stuff from time to time but I kinda doubt it recognizes the unicorn as a object that needs deleting so you're probably stuck with it.

I can offer you two solutions

• If you have, go back to a backup where this hasnt' happened. The game makes automatic backups and you can try if any of those don't have the issue: http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/save-games/#wiederherstellen
• Live with it.

I hit that button by accident, on the mailbox, too, and had the same thing happen with the extra mailbox. I had just shared the house on the gallery right before then. I was re-sharing a prior house that hadn't been decorated for Christmas, so I put the undecorated house back in and redecorated it and reshared it. However, four people had already downloaded it, which floored me. Normally I don't get that many downloads right away. Go figure. ;-)

Anyway...all was solved by reverting to the saved copy, but I sure hope EA fixes this problem!

My sister had the same problem, minus the unicorn, all we did to fix it was download a house and plop it over the messed up one. It will delete you're current house however.

I had the same mailbox problem! I figured out how to get off of her head but couldn't delete it but i eventually found this cheat online objects.remove_object_set_as_head

I put the large mailbox as her head again and then used the cheat. Hope this helps you.

Does the remove the extra mailbox if it's no longer a head ?

I think it only works when it's on their head. I just ctrl + left clicked the large mailbox and "set as head" again and then deleted it from there.

Hi Guys, I was also using the cheats and accidently undid the mailbox head cheat and the mailbox was placed on the main pavement outside the lot I'm using. I am unable to remove it. If you guys have any tips or suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.
