Sims 4 Game won't load past The sims 4 logo screen.

I just downloaded the Sims 4 Cats and Dogs. And now whenever I go to start up my game it loads to the Maxis and Sims 4 logos. After that its a pure blank screen. I can't get to my home screen. And I can't close the game either. The only way to close it is for me to totally restart my computer which I've done at least twenty times at this point.

How do I fix this.

Are you guys using mods/cc ? A lot is broken and incompatible now.

The list is not complete so there might be other mods causing issues.

You must update or remove incompatible mods or you will run into issues

I don't have any cc downloaded. The only thing I used is the cats and dog expansion
