Sims 4 Disc 1 won't open

★★ Novice

Whenever I put the disc 1 in my laptop makes a lot of noises and then nothing.

When I put disc 2 in it comes up with the zipped file of Sims 4 but won't let me start up using that.

I am getting so frustrated with this  please help.  The point of getting a physical copy was to not have to download 8GB from Origion.

Update: I have all my firewalls turned off.  I also tried the closing Origin thing too.  It's not even showing that there is a disc inside my laptop only when I put in disc 2

Wow, just wow. Some people are sleeping and have other RL stuff to do. I don't work for EA so I hope someone else helps you.

Sorry but last night I could see everyone elses posts being bumped by you and mine wasn't getting answered.

This issue is just making me fume and there isn't an emoticon to express my rage >Frown

I do them in order. Starting with the oldest one, working my way to the front. If you bump your thread, it takes longer for me to get to them. Also I do tend to skip posts with excessive bumping (which is against the TOS. It's ok to bump threads once a day but not 3 times within 4 hours) and I also do not like to be rushed via PM. My signature says so and while other helpers are ok to help via PM, I don't wanna do that.

You have to understand that my time is mine. I don't work for EA as said before and I'm not compensated for my time by EA. There's also issues I simply don't know an answer to and instead of saying: Hey, I don't know, I don't post at all and leave it to other helpers on here.

I really do my best here but I do have other commitments. You can always contact EA directly by going through the Help Center and doing a live chat or request a call back.

On to your problem. If your computer doesn't recognize the disc, I would say it's faulty and you should go back to where you bought it and exchange it. You can check if it's scratched but if downlaoding is not an option for you, exchanging the disc is probably the only thing you can do.

Good Luck
