Sims 4 Disappearing Househoulds

So when you open the sims for the first time you have to make a household so i do then it asks if you want to take a picture of your faimly well once i press the check mark my family isnt their and when i click on a property it just says create family to live here then i try and do that but when i go back to picking where to live my family isnt their ive tried almost everything PLEASE HELP
