Without any notice sims 4 has been removed off my origin account and has been replace with a game i brought 3 years ago (simcity). it will no longer allow me to play sims and says "The Sims™ 4, you must first activate it on your EA account" but i have already. even if i try offline it won't work. its still installed on my laptop but won't open, and assuming ive lost all my already saved progress.

If the game has been "replaced" it sounds like you logged in to your old account instead of your newer one.
If you open Origin and cannot find the game in your library, then you've logged in to the wrong account. Try using any other email addresses you own. Go to reset password and try resetting the password to any email you have, and see which ones get an answer, which means you have an account linked to that account.
No luck? As this is an account issue you need to contact an EA game advisor. As you have the game code they should be able to find out which account the game is on, then you just have to prove you're the owner by logging in to the correct email or answering the security question. If you don't have the game code it can be hard to find the account, you need to list all possible email addresses or account IDs, maybe email addresses of your parents if you were young when the account was created. So try and come up with all needed information before contacting them

HI @vero125
the game itself or your user files ? Unless you uninstall it, it really shouldn't do so.
Do you not have any Sims folder in programs after a patch update ?
Good Luck
