Sims 4 Create a Sim - Demo Mouse Issue

Hey guys, so I haven't had the chance to go get my sims game yet (I like hard copies) and so I'm still playing the demo.

Randomly when I'm making a sim, the mouse will stop working and when I click, the only thing that works is the little video camera with an arrow on either side so I can spin my sim around.

I'm pretty sure this is something I'm doing on my end, I just can't figure out how to fix this!

It's a farily common issue and no solution has been found yet or what's causing it.

Does it work in Windowed mods ?
