Sims 4 Crashing When Trying To Save

★★★★ Novice

I have quite a few sims saves (I'm not sure if that could be part of the problem) and more recently my game has crashed almost every time I've tried to save. I have to save pretty much every 30 seconds at least for it to save at all. I also have a slightly older computer and not a lot of storage.

@BingBongKittyCat  Try repairing the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.

If that doesn't help, please make sure OneDrive isn't set to automatically sync the contents of Documents with cloud storage.  You can keep OneDrive enabled if you want; it's just the syncing that can cause problems.

If that doesn't help either, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

@puzzlezaddict Nothing I tried worked and I'm just going to accept that my computer is old. I'm probably going to replace it after quarantine.

@BingBongKittyCat  The dxdiag isn't supposed to do anything, it's just information about your computer: basic hardware, driver info, Windows errors, that kind of thing.  If you run one and attach it to a post, I can look for any obvious errors which you may be able to address.
