Sims 4 Crashes

For a while now, I've been having issues with TS4. It keeps crashing whenever I have my mods enabled/in their folder. I have taken them out of their folder and have been able to play fine without them, but I would like to be able to play with my mods once again, is there a way I could fix this issue? Thank you taking your time to read/answer my simple question.

mods/cc get outdated with patches and need updating. You probably have something that's no longer compatible with the game.

You need to narrow down, what that is.
