Whenever I try to go online in either the full game, or the Create a Sim demo, I get a "Could not connect" error. No matter how many times I click "Try again," I cannot connect. I've made sure to add the game, the demo, and Origin to my firewall's whitelist, and I have the most current version of Origin installed. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Origin and the game, but no luck.
At this point, I'm wondering if this is an issue specific to me, or a server problem.
Anyone else with this issue? Have any luck getting it sorted?

UPDATE: I am now able to connect. The culprit for me was a peer block program I had running in the background. I disabled it, and am now connecting as soon as the game starts.
It was so obvious, it just never occurred to me.
Definitely have a look at what programs are running in the background on your rig.

What could possibly be blocking it? I've opened up my running background programs, but I really don't know what to look for.

What peer block program did you disable? Thanks

emmibaur - I use PeerBlock. There's a way to add approved programs to a list so it doesn't block them, but for now, I just disable it when playing Sims 4.

Yes I had added Sims 4, Sims 4 Demo and Origin to the list which didn't make a difference :/ then I disabled processes such as AVG anti virus, firewall, and others I had running.. to no avail I'm sure I am overlooking something obvious so I will keep trying! Thanks for your suggestions! If you can think of anything that I may be missing let me know
