Okay, please help!

I just got The Sims 3 Starter Pack yesterday, and I'm having a problem I can't fix..

When I go to the launcher it says the game is updated, so ofcourse it won't let me update. But when I go to the in-game and try to log in, it says that I need to go to the launcher and update the game. Help?

EA IS PEACE OF SH*T! first I can't share my stuff and then OOH I CAN'T PLAY ANYMORE. launcher doesn't work anymore so no hope for sims. wasting of money,......... leave it or w8 proper answer
